i met up with an old friend a few weeks ago and we talked briefly about a trauma we shared when our best friend sewerslided. Its so interesting how memory holds up. She says she cant remember anything from that night (We went to his house that night to make sure he was okay because we thought it was an april fools joke) and i remember EVERYTHING. I remember every sound, every word that came out of his family’s mouth. Idk where anyone else was though. I was lost in my grief. Pretty crazy not to remember anything and pretty crazy to remember every detail of something so painful. Oof.

My birthday is tomorrow and I just saw the age in an old friend from high school in a pic with her kids. I dont have kids so maybe I dont have that same aged look about me, but ill be 29 tomorrow so woohoo. Im back with my parents for a few more weeks and then im moving to virginia. (my bf is renovating an old house, its actually historic. something to do with the confederacy and was turned into an orphanage at one point. Built in the 1800s.)
